Nagasaki Museum of History and Culture
This museum is built on the site of the Nagasaki Magistrate's Office from the Edo period. It displays models and documents that tell the history of Nagasaki, which flourished through international exchange. There is also a reproduction of a town house, so you can experience life at that time.

Megane Bridge
From the train window
One of the three most famous bridges in Japan. Its name comes from the fact that its reflection on the river surface looks like "glasses." It is a national important cultural property, and the surrounding area is a popular tourist destination with the Heart Stone, which is said to bring love to fruition, and the winter lantern festival.

Nagasaki Chinatown
One of the three biggest Chinatowns in Japan alongside Yokohama and Kobe. Chinese restaurants and general stores line the 250m crossroads that run from east to west and north to south, creating an exotic atmosphere.

Dejima
During the Edo period, when Japan was isolated from the rest of the world, this was the only place that was permitted to trade with the outside world, and it was an important gateway to Western culture and information.
